AIE’s main thrust traditionally has been
mechanical and electromechanical components. In recent years,
electronic products have been added. Lines we favor are
niche-oriented, design-in products.
We are strongest when providing Application
Specific Solutions to our customers. We spend the bulk of our time
working with engineering at our OEM customers, providing custom
solutions, or modified standard products, from our various lines.
Target account strategies are employed for key accounts. Sales
leads from factories are very important to our sales efforts.
Our customers respond enthusiastically to
suppliers who continue to be innovative in product offerings and
customer service. Each year, a significant portion of our overall
sales is due to new products or services offered by our principals.
The timeliness of our responses and our principal’s responses to
customer needs continues to rate as the top reason for our success
in our market.
We are very familiar with the distributor
channel to market. We devote time to those companies whose products
sell primarily or partially through distribution.
When considering a new Principal, we assess
synergy with current lines, salability of products in our markets,
business philosophy and ability to work with reps.
